Online privacy - Our view:

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information that you share with us. Generally, you can browse our web site without giving us any personal information whatsoever.

When we do request personal information to provide services such as our member services and e-mail newsletters, be assured that such information is used only for it's stated purpose and that none of your details are sold or rented to third parties.

Browser level statistics and visitor data: Why collect user stats?

Our web server is configured to automatically collect user access statistics containing the following information: IP address, browser type and version, OS (operating system) type and version, your geographical location, pages viewed, entry and exit pages, time of visit, total time on-site and referrer by reading information from your browser and by using a statistics software package to track your visit.

This information is collected and stored in a database and subsequently used in an aggregated and anonymous manner for our own internal analysis and for other purposes such as:

• Web site administration and upgrading.
• Research and development.
• A tool to help ensure that our site interacts well with the system configurations that our visitors most commonly use.
• A tool to help identify areas of the site that are under-performing or otherwise need improvement.
• A tool to gauge the performance of advertising or other such marketing initiatives.

This type of tracking has no want or ability to personally identify individual users. It's intended function is to help us provide you with a useful and positive experience on our site.

Voluntary submission of personal details:

We do not collect personally identifying information about any individual that is not knowingly and freely provided. Those who register to become a member or provide personal information on our feedback forms can be assured that these details are never rented or sold.

Definitions:

• Browser type: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari are examples of web browsers. Browser type typically discloses hardware platform, operating system, and browser software/version.
• Referrer: The referrer is the URL of the page that causes a browser to request a page or image from our servers. It generally indicates to us where our visitors came from just prior to logging on to our site.
